March Update!

"Every time I close the door on reality it comes in through the windows." - Jennifer Yane

Hi there,

Wow! It's really happening! After years of praying, hoping and wishing there was a way to provide a safe place for trafficked women in Boston, Amirah is a few steps away from becoming a reality.

"Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

You can personally have an affect on releasing captives from the bonds of slavery! Last month, our Board invited you to become a "Founder of Amirah"! What does this mean? If you are able to donate a minimum of $100 (or commit to $20 monthly recurring donation) between now and April, we will be honored to place your name on our "Wall of Founders" once we have a permanent home. So please, join us in making this house a reality!

Of course, any amount will help! Learn how you can donate on our website...

Our next fundraising goal is $20,000 by April. We can do it, but only with your help!

"A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality." - John Lennon
Dream with us! Come to a volunteer meeting to learn how you can personally partner with Amirah.

Other updates...
We're so excited to have the opportunity to share in this journey with you! Arwyn was able to speak at Bridgewater State University recently and we see other fantastic speaking engagements in the near future as well. Are you or your group interested in having Arwyn come speak about the realities of human trafficking and what Amirah's doing about it? Email us!**

We do still have some great needs for specific volunteers:
* Individuals interested in running a fund-raising event
* An administrative assistant for Arwyn
* A CPA to work on setting up our finance system
Please email us if you're interested in any of the above!

Thank you for partnering with us to abolish modern-day slavery!

The Amirah team
