January Update!

Hi there,
Happy New Year, friends! We hope that 2011 is treating you well so far.

Fundraising update:
We have crossed the halfway mark to our goal of $15,000! We're officially at $8,600 at this moment, but are still hoping to raise the full $15,000 as soon as possible. Would you consider giving a gift to Amirah in this New Year? Every penny brings us closer to opening our doors for the women that desperately need to escape human trafficking. You can easily donate on our website: www.amirahboston.org

Awareness update:
The Not For Sale Campaign is hosting a FREEZE in Boston on 1.11.11 (National Human Trafficking Awareness Day)! What is a FREEZE? "A FREEZE is where a large group of people stand completely still in a natural pose for three minutes starting at the same exact second. After the three minutes are up, everyone walks away normally and we will hand out flyers with more information." Check out the NFS Facebook page for more information on their event!

The New England Coalition Against Trafficking is promoting a moment of silence at 11am on January 11, 2011 as well.

Would you join us as we spread the word about human trafficking through these two different events?

Thank you for partnering with us to abolish modern-day slavery!

Blessings,
The Amirah team
